10 Things You Didn't Know About Me

So by now you’re probably familiar with me, Mindy, as the sole proprietor of Peachy Keene Yarn Shop. You might have met my dad a time or two, or seen my son pop in for a hug. Well, here's some things you might not know about me.

1. My first job was a used car salesman at a Honda dealership. 
2. I refuse to eat tomatoes. 
3. I've never been stung by a bee, a wasp, a scorpion, or any other stinger. 
4. Geckoes absolutely terrify me, and it's one of the reasons I love NH so much (no geckoes here!)
5. When I was a child, I wanted to grow up to be a lepidopterist. 
6. I taught myself to knit from pictures in a book, and I didn't know that I was a "left-handed thrower" until I was in my thirties. Now I knit continental 
7. My least favorite color is red. Second least is orange. 
8. My favorite poet is John Keats, but my favorite contemporary poet is Stephen Dunn.
9. I went to school for creative writing with a focus in poetry. 
10. I never wore socks until I knit my first pair of them back in 2015.
